Betty Freyhof Johnson

Betty Freyhof JohnsonFew are linked more deeply and in more ways to the Seven Hills School than Betty Johnson. Betty has been involved with the school since she began as an elementary school student in Clifton before its relocation to Red Bank Road. Betty believes so strongly in the value of a Seven Hills education that she wants her support to continue in perpetuity.

Betty describes her school years as “an awfully happy period of my life” and that “we always knew we were getting a fabulous education.” Ms. Johnson was the first female President of the Board of Trustees of Wellesley College. She has served on the board of the May Festival Association, is an active supporter of the World Affairs Council and numerous other organizations and is one of the founders of Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

Betty’s generous bequest was made as part of the endowment portion of the Schools’ most recent capital campaign. She hopes that her gift will have the added impact to influence classmates and friends to follow suit.

This generous bequest is intended to create a significant scholarship fund for the perpetual support of future students who otherwise could not attend. It will increase the total number of scholarships available at Seven Hills. Betty’s great generosity is something for all people to admire.
